Independent Investigations for Churches and Faith-Based Organisations
Serving churches and faith communities across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific
When A Concern or Complaint Arises
The stakes are high – for the people involved, and for the organisation’s reputation and mission. Internal investigations can be perceived as biased or may lack the rigour needed to withstand scrutiny. An independent investigator brings impartiality and the kind of structured process that protects people and the organisation.
But churches are not ordinary workplaces. They are communities of faith with their own culture, language, governance structures, and relational dynamics. An investigator who understands these is far better placed to conduct an investigation that is both rigorous and sensitive enough to avoid causing even more harm.
What We Handle
We work with churches, denominations and faith-based organisations on matters including:
- Employment disputes
- Conduct investigations
- Reportable conduct matters
- Historic abuse allegations
- Child safeguarding matters
- Sexual misconduct allegations
- Financial misconduct allegations
- Breaches of professional or denominational standards
If you’re uncertain whether your situation warrants an independent investigation, a confidential conversation is a good place to start.
